Jeremiah

Pastor Mark Allen continues Sent Ones, our series through the Major Prophets, with the book of Jeremiah, whose name means "Yahweh will exalt." Called before he was born and commissioned at seventeen, Jeremiah spent a lifetime speaking hard truth to a nation hiding behind false security, and he was never exalted for it in this life. Walking through his call, the temple sermon, the potter and the clay, his honest cry to God, the letter to the exiles, and the promise of a new covenant written on the heart, this message asks whether we will be moldable in God's hands and obedient even when it costs us. The exaltation Jeremiah was promised is the same one we are: not here, but in the kingdom to come.
