Unique Needs

Our Unique Needs class exists to share the love of Christ by assisting children needing special accommodations and their families in becoming full participants and contributors within the body of Christ. We are committed to providing a safe and comfortable learning environment that allows children with special needs to access worship, ministry, and fellowship with one another, while also equipping their families to participate in the main worship service fully.
When is the Unique Needs class available, and who can attend?
Our Unique Needs class is currently available to children ages Birth-5th grade at our Athens Campus during the 11 AM service only.
Can children older than 5th grade attend the Unique Needs class?
Youth-aged children (6th-12th grade) are welcome to attend our Life Kids Unique Needs Class as well, upon request. To help the class focus on fun and learning, we ask that each youth-aged child be able to listen effectively, manage emotions, follow simple requests, function in a small-group setting, and have incontinence control. Lifting and diaper changes will not be able to be accommodated.
What should I do before checking my child into a Unique Needs class on Sunday?
If you are planning to attend Life Fellowship with a child who has special needs or a disability, we encourage you to Let Us Know You're Coming ahead of time. This will allow you to specify all accommodations needed and will also help us collaborate with you in advance to ensure you and your child have an excellent experience.
Does Life Fellowship accommodate adults (18 years and older) with special needs?
Yes! When available, our Adults with Special Needs Life Group meets during each Life Group semester at our Athens Campus on Sunday mornings. Registration for all Life Groups is required, so keep an eye on your Dashboard or visit our Life Groups page for details about registration information, as well as session dates and times.
