MONTHLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE PROJECT
(Opportunities to purchase small, tangible items for local organizations)
Needed items:
Drop items at the Make a Difference bin in the lobby, just behind the information desk.
You can also bring them to the church office Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Previous and Upcoming Make a Difference Projects:
January: Metro Relief (organization that serves the homeless in the DFW area)
Collected several hundred items of winter wear
February: Rebecca's Project (local organization that provides meals for the homeless and elderly)
Collected several hundred canned good items as well as
dried beans, rice, spaghetti and other necessities
April: Love in Action (local organization that provides meals, laundry,
mail service and other important needs to the homeless)
July: Lots of school supplies were collected to help local teachers
Backpacks and uniform shirts were given away to local schoolchildren

MONTHLY CHURCH SERVE PROJECT
Each month, Life Fellowship leads an opportunity for you to go out and serve others in small ways.

fire departments to be handed out to children in crisis (project closed)
March: Served 35 dozen donuts to high school Seniors and staff
at three local schools (project closed)

Opportunities to connect DIRECTLY to an organization
Love in Action provides meals, food bags, laundry, mail service and other important needs to the homeless in our community. You can contact Teri Caswell at Love in Action 903-904-5131 to help during the day or to find out what items are needed as this organization continues to help their clients.
821 Ministries is an organization that provides meals on Saturday to the homeless and elderly in our community. Donations of hamburger, chicken, and canned goods are always welcome. Monetary donations and Brookshires and Walmart cards can always be put to use.. Volunteers can help cook on Friday to deliver to First Presbyterian Church by 9:15 am Saturday morning or help to put food together and deliver on Saturday mornings.

The Grace House of Cedar Creek Lake is a faith based transition home for women. Their mission is to help women overcome destructive lifestyles through the transforming power of God. There are many ways you can be involved!

OTHER ORGANIZATIONS to get involved with
Metro Relief serves the homeless in the greater DFW area. We have partnered with them on multiple occasions and they would love for you to join them for a day to feed the homeless. They also have an ongoing list of needed items that you can donate. Visit their website for details!
Volunteer opportunities are available with SOS International in the Dallas area. You can choose outreach to the homeless, to refugees, to women and children in crisis as well as others. Visit their website for details!
